In Person Sessions

Master key concepts, tools & mindsets required to lead and enable health innovation across a complex health and care system.

Five knowledge modules will be explored over 4 days.

  • Health innovation fundamentals – develop a baseline command of key health innovation concepts such as the drivers for health innovation, definition(s) and types of health innovation, the actors in health innovation, and key system-level barriers and facilitators of health innovation.  Date: June 22
  • Enabling culture, mindsets & behaviours– understand the “Innovator’s DNA” and how to build the needed personal and organizational culture, mindsets and behaviors to navigate the barriers to creating, developing, and sustaining health innovation in the Netherlands. Dates: June 22 & 23; September 14 & 15
  • The Health Innovator’s Toolkit – understand and learn how to develop the key vocational tools (such as Design thinking, business model canvas), as well as “real life skills” (such as facilitation, effective presenting) necessary for leading innovation, across the lifecycle from idea to impact. Dates: June 23 and September 15.
  • Organizing for Innovationdetermine how best to organize internally so that innovation is a powerful in-house capability, and not a buzzword that has no credibility or relevance. Date: September 15.
  • Future of Healthcare & Technology – understand the key trends and shifts that are rapidly changing how health and healthcare are conceptualized, designed, delivered and paid for, and the role of emerging technologies in shaping the future of health. Date: September 15.

This modular structure allows participants the opportunity to reflect on their learning and practice new behaviors and tools at the workplace and across partner organizations in the health system. The 4 days together in one space will be highly workshop-driven and experiential to enable facilitated practice. Further, 2-way exchange will be encouraged i.e. both giving (i.e. participants sharing their experiences, tools), and receiving (learning new capabilities from the faculty, and from each other).

All in class sessions will be held at Radboudumc in Nijmegen on June 22-23 and Sept 14-15. Participants must be able to commit to full participation during all 4 days (from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm) in order to be eligible for the program, and to receive a certificate of completion and any associated professional accreditation hours.

Trainers
